Thank you Moli.

It is an awful condition but not one that is ever going to be totally irradicated unfortunately. If we can stop the early onset cases would be something. The problem is sometimes the only prior indication a cat has HCM is when it goes into CHF which is usually to late. Dillon was screened because he had a heart murmur and the family history. Not all cats with HCM present with a heart murmur therefore it isn't picked up on a normal vet health check. A bit of a silent killer in those cases.
