Re: Merry Christmas - what are your plans?

Bit of a different one for us . . . Mum coming over for a semi-traditional Polish Christmas Eve (Wigilia) which we will cook between us. Christmas Day is going to be spent at the Forbury Hotel in Reading which is just around the corner from my office but is a lovely boutique hotel which serves the most amazing food in the most stylish of surroundings. Opposite our fave Victorian park too so boys can run off lunch before we settle down to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark in their private viewing room Most importantly - walkin distance!

Boxing Day will involve me taking my Mum home, OH's adult kids coming over to see him and a reunion with an old friend for me in the evening who's coming up from Brighton for an overnight stay.

Re: Merry Christmas - what are your plans?

Unfortunately We Will Have To Leave Them In A Cattery From Christmas Eve Until The Tuesday We Get Back. The Car Journey Is By Far Too Long For Them, As They Get Quite Stressed Just Going A Couple Of Miles To The Vet In The Car.
We Have Spent The Last Month Sorting Out A Cattery For Them And Have Found A Really Caring One Just A Few Miles Down The Road. We Have Seen The Place And Have Had Many Recomendations Including A Couple Of Police Officers Whose Cats Have Stayed There And An Rspca Person As Well. We Are Sad About Leaving Them But This Could Be The Last Time All The Family Will Be Together . Ime Sure They Will Be Ok And We Will Have A Very Special Party For Them Both When We Return!!

They will probably have lots of fuss made of them - great to hear you have found a cattery with such good recommendations. Hope you all have a great Christmas!

I'm sure too that they'll be spoiled and fussed over at the cattery; it does sound like a good one. Merry Christmas to all of you!
