My foster kittens are the same random! Absolutely fine until 6 weeks, now run and hide as soon as it enters the room! And my 3 all hate it with a vengance!

I don't even have to turn the hoover on - just move it slightly - and Bernard and Kuta run for the hills!!!!

Lily and Abi couldn't care less though - they are very laid back and stay asleep while I hoover the room they are in.

I guess it's all to do with their nature and personality generally

Patch hates it....we too don't even have to turn it on, just move in a tiny bit and he's gone, he's terrified of it bless him :P

I have a small hand-held one as well as the big "monster", and they are/were scared of it too!

Yes 3 out of the 4 cats I have are scared of the dreaded hoover, just moving it makes them all get up to leave, they don't run until its switched on... I always give them a warning that I'm hoovering by switching it on for a second then off so they can all get out of the way!
