Re: Not Funny

I'm just wondering here.....if it was yobs....would they go to the trouble of finding a non-toxic pink dye, then find a white cat, and be very careful not to get the dye in it's eyes or nose.

One report I saw said it looked professionally done.....would yobs go to all that trouble and expense????

Could it be................just a thought..............that it's actually a much-loved (but by a rather demented owner) who is into personalising her kitty?

I've seen poodles dyed pink and all manner of funny clothes for cats and dogs......even nail varnish on dogs and cats nails...

Seems a weird thing to do really in any event......

I would agree. I would imagine the owners may fear coming forward to claim her incase of retribution...

Re: Not Funny

Just what I was thinking Elaine......it seems the press have gone OTT (I'm sure the RSPCA although surprised, wouldn't have made such a damning thing about the incident) and now the owners, ( it may even have been a stupid prank by one of their friends), aren't likely to come forward to claim little Pink for fear of reprisals.

Without doubt the press WheelieBinWoman got was well deserved and she was shown to be the ghastly person she is......I'm going to be interested to see what sentence she gets.......

Tezz, the more I think about it I think you're right; yobbos wouldn't have been that careful.

I still wish Wheelie Bin woman had been sentenced to 15 hours in a filthy dumpster ...... poor Lola.

Hi Eileen, I see she is being sent for trial on October 19th. She said "she didn't see what all the fuss was about"

I have a feeling she'll be eating her insensitive words on the 19th...

Re: Not Funny

I think whoever painted Pink may have got the idea from this website/book, although I still think it may be a spoof and the picture are "adapted".

It isn't funny, especially not for the cat, but the media will blow things up.

Re: Not Funny

Tezz, whilst I agree that the 'artists' have avoided the poor dab's eyes and nose and that it may have been a 'professional' dye job, the fact that she was cruelly dumped at 10.30 pm in someone's back garden doesn't seem to be the act of someone exercising their artistic individuality. Just the mindless act of another person like WheelieBinWoman who think that cats and other animals are fair game for their twisted pleasures.

Angie, the book you linked to is another example. OK, I have no objection to adults tattooing/piercing their bodies but I cringe when I see babies with their ears pierced and feel the same way about this.

Re: Not Funny

I just feel a little scepticle of press reports at times, I cannt imagine that the person who took the time too dye her so carefully, although I agree it's a cruel thing to do, is the same person who apparently "threw" her over a fence. Perhaps the garden was near a busy road and person didnt actually throw her but tried to get her away from the road... perhaps the kitty struggled as the person was putting her over the fence and it looked like she was thrown...
With the wheelie bin woman, we could all clearly see what she did.

Re: Not Funny

True Elaine. Perhaps I'm naive to trust the press but we know all too well the depths of stupidity and cruelty the human mind can sink to. Hope little 'Pink' is being shown love and compassion and most of all is with her own human now.
