I wasn't sure, so Googled " texas birds goldfinch" and found them, so apparently you do. They love Nyger thistle seed; when my neighbor put it in his feeder instead of regular seed he got a large flock of them! The Winter plumage is not as vivid; I've never seen that as they go South for the Winter.

Thanks for searching Eileen, I intend to take a hanging feeder when I go back to Houston, will get some of those seeds see if I can attract some....

They are both such stunning birds with lovely colours, we on the rare occasion get them in our garden
