She's tried her luck once or twice but I've put a stop to that right away.

Thats right good on you, ground rules firmly in place - treat her as a puppy until she knows the rules, must be hard for her settling in a new home but she'll soon be paws under the table so to speak.

Just said to Tess and Sal - oi I could have offloaded you pair you know so watch it............did they even lift an eyebrow - nope just carried on snoring on the sofa although I swear they just shut their eyes and pretend to snore as when you speak to them their tails thump in unison - yet the snore when you aren't speaking to them.

She looks lovely, is that Anne hiding behind her in the picture?
What did they say her recall is like? although I would try a long lead first

Re: Tilly (Staffordshire Bull Terrier)

Nope that's me Kazz, Louise took the photo. She's turning into a budding photographer that daughter of mine

Her recall in the garden is 100% but I'm not brave enough yet to let her off lead outside of the garden. I'm gonna try her in the enclosed circle down the bottom of the road this morning. So far she hasn't batted an eyelid at other dogs who have barked or growled at her, she's just looked and walked off She has also reminded me, on several occassions, how smelly their farts can be too

Re: Tilly (Staffordshire Bull Terrier)

Great staffie smiles Nae, and very good advice there from Kazz.
To quote granny 'start as you mean to go on' - don't cut her too much slack because she's new.
It all sounds great with the cats etc. Keep us posted.
(PS - I noticed in one of the pics that she is lying with her back feet out behind her. Never seen a staffie do that before! )

Re: Tilly (Staffordshire Bull Terrier)

Her recall is 100%, she walks wonderfully by my side and she's already getting to grips with the rules in the house.

Caught her washing Salt earlier Moli is still very unsure of her but I'm sure that will sort itself out in time. Timmy and Tilly get on like a house on fire and they are so funny. Timmy follows Tilly everywhere

Tilly went to meet my parents on the weekend. When we arrived it was dark but Tilly needed toilet so I let her out. Tilly found the fishpond.....she fell in it She was okay and avoided that area of the garden like the plague
