Amazing! How did you overcome it? I don't think I'm actually arachnophobic - I don't like to kill them and would rather someone kind came along to scoop them up and put them outside, but I know if there's a spider in the room and go all cold when I spot one especially if it's a big 'un!

Re: Hello, hello!

I was in a reptile store, and someone was taking care of the spiders there. I asked if I could hold him for a moment (spontaneous action, I'm normally not like that). So I did! And I was sold!

My fear is not completely gone, but I don't freak out any more if I see one, or when a spider accidentally gets on my hand. Now -- spiders are not cuddly animals, and holding them can be stressful for them. So they are animals you should enjoy with your eyes only.

Hiro and Suki are beautiful cats, Yulecat.Welcome to Catsey.I have five cats myself - Snodgrass, Miracle, Frederick, Dickens and Betsey-May. Your spider sounds amazing -I actually love spiders. I got the chance to hold a tarantula a number of years ago. I thought he/she was beautiful, even though it didn't move.I'd love to see a photo some time if you manage to get one.
