Pamela, we use plaque off for the dogs teeth, once you have had skyes teeth scaled maybe you could try it. It cant be given if there are any thyroid probs but it does seem to keep their teeth clean.

I thought the thunder shirt worked for Bella first time but think it was simply not a lot of fireworks - hope it helps with Kwame. Do you think it may be his diet that makes him lively?.

I'm setting up as a specialist in archaeology and heritage education so will go into schools to teach sessions on prehistory, archaeology, Romans etc., offer outreach and events advice to archaeological units, train museum staff and volunteers to work with schools- a mix of things. I've bought the domain name handlingthepast.co.uk so that will be my business name.

Hope its not his diet Karen, we feed them mostly wellbeloved which reads pretty much additive free.
As a breed they easily become over stimulated and over the top but he is an extreme Basenji !
We have tried allsorts including training classes, positive reinforcement, halti head collar and now the thundershirt.
The usual things dont seem to work with him, the most successful appliance is the head halti which exerts gentle pressure on the base of his neck and mimics the mother dog carrying her pups. We try not to use it unless absolutely neccesary as he becomes used to it. I think the line he comes from isnt as bomb proof as Malaikas.
