Oh CJ - Im so sorry about your rabbit It's a horrible decision to be faced with. Maybe the test will come back not as bad as expected (ever the optimist here ), but if they confirm cancer then I think you're right - remember the good times with her rather than nursing a rabbit that will never really get better. Again - so sorry about her. |

thanks yola. In one way iw ant to keep her but why? Just cos we want more time with her seems selfish. Let her pass on with dignity and no pain or suffering. As you say though, hang on for results, miracles do happen. this is the rather sad side of being a pet owner though, and one i knew i would be faced with again some day |

Aww, CJ, I'm so sorry about the news. It is indeed the very sad side of owning pets but I know you'll make the best decision for her. The last hing you needed really with everything else you are having to worry about at the moment though. (((Hugs))) to you all. |

I have decided the best thing to do is PTS if results confirm what vet thinks. She MAY be suffering a little already, rabbits are notorious for "hiding" when theyre ill, it's a defence mechanism from being pretty low down on the food chain. If i leave her until she seems poorly she will then have been in pain and suffering. At least this way she will hopefully not have been. she will spend her last few days running about my living room! and of course getting plenty of love |
