Re: The Naming Of Cats

Hello and welcome. I can't think of any cat names at the moment but I hope you find one.

Re: The Naming Of Cats

Well then,

Its been a long time since I have been here !

Our new boy turned out to be a Sputnik !

Since then, our feline family has grown as I decided I wanted a pedigree cat to show and maybe breed on from.

I needed someone who could cope with a busy household full of English Setters so started my research. I ended with falling in love with Snowshoe Cats who seem to be the English Setter of the cat world.

And thus - Lichen joined us at the end of February.

She has since been to her first show - which she thoroughly enjoyed - as did I.

She won a merit and 3 x first prizes - what a day !

Best of all she loves me and sleeps at my feet under my duvet and if I'm not there, with the lovely Sputnik !

She will shortly be training a litter of puppies in the ways of cats......

Arent cats wonderful ?

Thalice

Well, long time no chat, Thalice; nice to see you back and get an update. Yes, we cat nuts here agree they're wonderful. Welcome to Sputnik and Lichen; how about some pics, we do love pics, and I don't think we've ever had a Snowshoe here! Would love to see them both.

Lichen the Snowshoe kitten shortly after she arrived - making herself at home !

Her eyes are actually a beautiful shade of blue and not devil-cat orange as in the photo !

I've never seen a showshoe, but it's been worth the wait - Lichen is truly beautiful And I'm so pleased you've worked out a name for Sputnik - sometimes it's best to wait until the cat arrives as a name will often just suggest itself when you finally meet
