Re: Chattering and talkative cats

We haven't counted the "silent miaow" - which is definitely a form of communication, but obviously, silent. Merlin was a master of this sort of "talking".

Good point! Leia is very good at the silent miaow also.

Re: Chattering and talkative cats

Chatters and vocal - Jennie used to be
Non chatter but vocal - Tucker, Colin, Princess, Kiara
Chatters, not vocal - Anakin
Neither - Tabs and Vitaani, although a little vocal at certain times (feeding, fuss e.t.c) but not in comparison to the others who are always vocal. Same for Anakin really.

Re: Chattering and talkative cats

I'd say the vocal chatterers are more common from this random sample. Little Onyx turned out to be very vocal but as she was outside I never got to know if she chattered.

Re: Chattering and talkative cats

Another thought: Leia's a non-chatterer, but she lashes her tail furiously when bird-watching. Anyone else notice that?

Re: Chattering and talkative cats

Yep they certainly do a lot of tail swishing, and that is something that they both do while watching the birds, it is comical when they are sat there together next to each other and their tails and heads are swishing and turning at the same time
