Re: my parents' dog is in trouble..

thank you.
my dad was hysterical and almost needed to be checked into the hospital because of his blood pressure.
they are both devastated.
they kept her on oxygen and iv during the night at the vet as they said they doubted she would pass and she was very stable. she was dead when the staff came this morning.
my parents are second guessing their decision and consumed with guilt. also shocked because she was acting normal until last evening.

Re: my parents' dog is in trouble..

What to say? It is awful she died alone away from home, but it would have been equally hard if not harder on your mom and dad to have her die at home, maybe in pain or convulsing... it did sound as if her time had come to leave. I know the shock and pain is terrible now; sending comforting vibes to you all...

Re: my parents' dog is in trouble..

my parents are still very depressed. can anyone suggest good pet support grief sites or uplifting books or stories? i'm trying desperately to get them to stop blaming themselves..they have so much guilt because of the diet they fed her, leaving her at the vet, etc.
