yeh its for 4days angie then thats it, its scary reading the stories but i do have faith in vets as they wouldnt recommend it if they thought it would hurt him.

GLad to hear pip had it for a similar thing and is fine, thanks for the re-assurance angie xx

Pamela, I'm sure he will be fine on the metacam, it is only short term. Apparently, metacam is the preferred treatment these days for cystitis, our cat, Sidney was prescribed this when he had cystitis and I must say I was surprised that he wasn't given antibiotics, but it cleared up quickly. Cystitis in male cats can be dangerous, so please give him the metacam, I'm sure he will be fine.

Eileen, we have managed to get him to take the tablet by breaking a treat in half which is softer in the middle and he is eating it no problem

The metacam we are putting in juts a wee bit of food as he is picky, making sure he eats that tehn topping up his food bowl aswell!!! We are ahead of the game at the mo with him on the medicine front but it wont be long till he figures us out!!

Kim, he is getting all his meds and thnks for the advice x
