I used to make up a special hamper for my grandparents. I would go to the craft fairs and buy all the homemade preserves and unusual foods and put them in a nice hamper for them. They didn't always like all the stuff like quails eggs and rare cheeses, but there was usually something in there that they'd demolish

Amanda that is a great idea, I have done something similar for my boyfriends grandparents, usually jams and stuff.

I have got his gran an audio tape, perhaps I should also get my gran one

I was thinking about special Jams and marmalades....M&S usually do some special preserves at Christmas time. And what about a special Christmas pud and Brandy sauce?
