Re: Daily Shred/Sunday...

Lovely day here, sun is shining, clear blue skies but it's bloomin' cold.

Hubby's been called into work to do a recovery for them as they don;t trust anyone else to drive the recovery lorry Kids are watching telly and Moli's curled up on Thomas' lap sleeping. She's really taken to Thomas over the past couple of days.

Re: Daily Shred/Sunday...

Hi everybody,

Just finished doing the sodding housework

I had planned to do my drawings today but then I saw the state of my dining room windows and decided that today needed to be a housework day

Everything is nice and sparkly now especially the kitchen as I gave the kitchen worktop a good clean and baby oiled them (I know it sounds very strange baby oiling your worktops but they are a special resin which you can rub down any scratches and marks and then re-oil it and it goes nice and glossy )

I have about half an hour of drawing then off to start dinner - steak and kidney pie with veggies

And THEN I can relax, don't forget Lord of the Rings fans that the two towers is on tonight at 8pm on channel 4

Busy day Emma but it sounds as though it was worth while Can't say I've ever heard of baby oiling the worktops though

Re: Daily Shred/Sunday...

I know it sounds totally daft!!! lol

The worktop is by Capri, and you can buy it from MFI, although it isn't cheap I would recommend it to anybody and I love the invisible seams , any scratches just buff out, and it is very heat resistant.

Details are http://www.caprikitchenworktops.co.u.../features.aspx

We have got the star light worktop which is a black with grey and white speckles in it.

Re: Daily Shred/Sunday...

Well it is a lot cheaper than granite or marble, and it should outlast the rest of the kitchen units...I hope!!! lol we are lucky in one sense that our kitchen is only 9' x 7' so we didn't need a great deal of worktop.

Re: Daily Shred/Sunday...

Looks great that Emma! I baby oil the cooker as it is stainless steel and the oil prevents it going smeary when you clean it
