Sorry to hear your news. I have said it once or twice, I said it after my first dog had to be PTS at 5years of age, we had only had her about a year. After that I said no more pets but 18 months later I had another dog, my Jas , got another dog in the November, lost her to cancer the following September aged 5.5 years. Said again won't get another bitch after her nad waht happens?...yep in the April got another bitch. Unfortunately my ill health dictated that both dogs had to go this time and said then that I wasn't ready for another pet. Yep you've guessed it....'fostered' Moli & Sox and nagged hubby to let me keep them. After the dogs went I suddeny had an empty feeling in my life and felt I needed something to nurture, sounds daft I know |

So sorry to hear your sad news! As has been said, the pain of loss makes you think you will never do it again as you cant go through that again. But once you have had and loved a pet (whatever it is), life will seem empty and as if there is something missing! |
