Oh dear Fran.

Metacam is a NON steroidal anti inflammatory drug. It has pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties. Steroids dont really provide any pain relief, maybe a switch back to Metacam or a combination of both will see her perk up, I hope so.

Steroids are anti-inflammatory drugs, metacam is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug similar to human Ibuprofen. She has never been prescribed Metacam, the vet went straight in and put her on steroids as they are stronger. I have Metacam in for another reason but because she is on steroids I will wait to speak to the vet before using Metacam..

She seems very depressed

Thanks Kazz..I am sure you know how I am feeling right now. She won't even eat the ham off the bone She is very depressed

I know Kazz, no need for you to say anything...I know you are there for me and Lucky in spirit

It's not a lump in my throat but bursting into tears every few minutes
