I knew in my heart as soon as I saw how rapidly the swelling grew that it was osteosacrcoma & decided that if the x-ray confirmed it, I would not bring him round from the anasthetic. I couldn't see him suffer after 9 years of being a healthy & fit boy. His loss of condition in a few day was unbelievable. So I said goodbye before he went in & I had made my decision clear, they phoned me to confirm it & through the floods of tears, I said "let him go"
I had a Bullmastiff with it too & she was only 3 years old.
