It was xrayed the first time she hurt it over a year ago Fran. It wasnt broken they said. And just told her to get on with it. She struggled with it for a long time, and even now she has a weak ankle. Always hurting her, always aching. Dont really know what to do with her. Doctor at hospital said avoid heavy sports till it heals - but it never does heal properly!! She said dont strap it up. Walk on it.

Sounds to me like she could do with seeing a specialist Donna. Perhaps at least have another x-ray done..

I have asked her doctor what she thinks and she is referring her to see a physiotherapist. She thinks she just needs to strengthen her ankle to avoid damaging the ligaments all the time. I have no idea if this is right or wrong so need to follow what she says..

Physiotherapists are usually very good. I would wait until you see her/him and have a good chat about how Emma has been/is with them...Hope you soon get to the bottom of this Donna

it's her age, can't blame her I was the same at her age...can just about remember being that age
