Re: Cat Room

Tom has wandered in every time I have been stood at the door admiring it (sad I know, but I helped my friend scrub the floor, and I did hte decorators caulk, primed it and painted it, plus half put the shelves up - very impressive for me, never done anything like that before), so he does like it. Although he is back on my bed now!!

boys mum - it did have a single bed base in till redecorating - my friends tried to convince me to get rid of the bed base as the cats had scratched it to bits, but I wanted to keep it as the cats loved it so much. Compromised at only putting half the base back in, and recovered it to give them a fresh surface to scratch on (but Tom has ignored it today, before decorating, he loved attacking it!!)

Re: Cat Room

If it is worth doing, it is worth doing well, and you have. <shrug>
You get the tripple pleasure of knowing you've accomplished something that is good to look at, very useful and will be an absolute haven for the next foster-cat. Absolutely nothing wrong with feeling good about that. Start worying about all the invites you'll get when next we redecorate our houses, though...

Re: Cat Room

WEll, if I had done it really well, I woudl have stripped the walls and painted them, but the floor was done to suit me as the carpet was getting too hard to clean.
You can send as many invites as you like, but I started stripping my bathroom last March, and due to fosters it still isn't done. Plan was to do it last weekend but with PEbbles not being right it has been put off. And I bought hte paint for my room last March, and haven't even got round to stripping the walls!!

Re: Cat Room

Tsk! As if looking after a few cats would be that much work! (Yes, very much said in a jesting tone. I have enough trouble with one well-adjusted kitten... : / Don't know how you manage, or how your heart can take all the ups and downs.)

Re: Cat Room

Main reason for cats stopping me is a few of the fosters have been in teh bathroom!! And then having 6 cats to look after!! Compared to some people, I really haven't done a lot, and haven't really had that many sad cases, only had one foster out of 15 cats and 5 kittens die, and I knew when I took him on that he wouldnt have long.
