Sorry, I actually tell a lie, when I was in Australia, my Aunt and Uncle took me for a day out and we went to visit Healsville Animal Sanctuary. I got the same feelings about some of the enclosures being too small for the animals they housed. There were many different free roaming animals too. It was nice to see these animals close up but far more enjoyed the wild life of Australia when I saw them naturally in their own environment.
At Healsville Sanctuary, I remember in particular, feeling very disturbed when I saw a Tasmanian Devil in a very small pen, pacing back and forth. Much to my families horror, I was compelled to find some one to talk to about it. I did find some one, who assured me that this poor creature was due for release back into the wild and had been taken in because of an RTA.
