Re: We have a problem

Sorry to hear of your trouble - I'll tell you a story about a similar incident - when I moved here the cats were about 10 or 11 well Oscar being Oscar was out and about straight away but Cleo refused to go out so I brought a puppy lead nice attached it to Cleo's collar the put some light cord adding length to the lead and took her out the front door and down the side of the house all went well till Bill a neighbour (God rest his soul) decided to come over and speak to me fine apart from the fact Bill always had Ben (I know) his mongrel dog with him who decided to bark at Cleo - all hell let loose barking dog old man trying to catch dog woman (me) trying to catch cat - until I caught Cleo almost roping her in that was my error - this is a word of warning NEVER EVER EVER catch a cat who is convinced a dog is after her - the claws hurt the teeth hurt and they caught hold of everything mainly me, I then tried to not catch Cleo trying to put as much distance between her and me as possible ie I ran - a miserable failure - she saw me as security and decided to chase after me and climb up my legs OUCH after such a dramatic start you would think Cleo would have moved away from me forever no problem she forgave me and a few days later I tried it again - and it worked but never since - so don't worry Moli will be fine.

Re: We have a problem

Maybe a few treats left with the harness as well? Let her take little steps back to begin with, and she'll be right as rain you'll see.

I agree: treats by the harness are an excellent idea! Poor Cleo

Yep just sticking to the harness wearing for the time being. Just around the house. Give it another week or so and I'll try putting the lead on her.
