As far as I know, they're not colour-blind. They have worse colour-vision than we do because they have more rods (black-and-white vision) in their eyes at the cost of cones (colour). They don't need an acute sense of colour, since they hunt for food at dusk and dawn. (Ok, mostly...) Can't remember if it is green they see and red not really... I'll see if I can find any of the bits from which I remember this... One of the anatomy-books is probably a good place to start. |
