What fabulour pictures!! Are they London folk, BM??? I have a few pics (amazing really considering all they've been through and the places they've been) of my Dad's family. They are right from the Polish/Russian border and my Grandad looks quite 'eastern' (slanting eyes, swarthy skin etc). My dad, at the age of about 2 or 3 in the early 1920s used to be put in a dress/smock - aparently that's quite typical for that time??? I'm not sure - I think my Grandmother just wanted a girl  I have a gallery of all the old family pics (hubby's and mine) all hanging up in my hallway. Ken's Dad was a bit of a bruiser . . . amateur boxer, black marketeer (during the war), and taxi driver to the Windmill Girls . . . he had some celebs and royalty in the back of his cab with the girls but was always to discreet to say who  Anyways - enough rambling  |

yola my dad was an east end boy,  and u saying about the boxer in your family, my OHs grandad was a bare knuckle boxer on wanstead flats, think his name was charlie west. will have to do some serches one day. |
