I have 3 of these big, dark red 'spikeys' - 1 in a big pot and 2 in the ground. None of mine get any protection from frost and the one I have in the front garden is quite exposed. It's also grown to about 15 ft and is quite stunning

I don't believe in spoiling my plants by giving them too many home comforts y'see
