Re: Names please..

Yola, you can get them provided they have been bred in the uk. Mine was £120, but the boys bought him/her between them for my birthday. Sweet children but I couldnt eat them in one sitting.
By this time next year Shergar should be another half his size.
If you want any info on getting one I'll gladly send you the info. And by the way he should only be hibernated for 3 weeks. In a controlled inviroment like the fridge!!

Crusty pie with tomatoe sauce, here we come

You can buy imported tortoises. Mine is imported but the importing has to be carefully controlled and they come with a load of paperwork It isn't advisable to hibernate juvenile tortoises. Mine is 6 years old and I haven't hibernated him yet and yes, they should be hibernated in the fridge

Re: Names please..

I had a pet box turtle when I was about nine named General Sherman (God knows where I came up with that name!). I insisted on taking him with me to Grandma's where I spent the Summers in the country (polio scares) and he got motion sickness on the train...haven't thought of that in years! But my Mom made me put him back in the woods come Fall so never did the hibernation thing. Yours is cute; what kind is he?
