Actually looking at them I think they must be a different variety as indoor ones tend to grow on a tall middle section(s) whereas this one is just leaves.

Garden Yucca's are spineless, they are called Y.Filamentosa, different to the indoor Yucca...You can get them with variegated leaves too..

My indoor one is getting tall now.......may have to cut a hole in the ceiling soon!!!

You can take the top off Mags and stick it in the soil, it should root...

Moli is right Mags we had an old plant at work and I took a cutting from it, I just planted it in the bottom of the original pot for a few months once it looked like it was doing ok, I repotted it on.
