Yes, I'm one of those oddballs who loves the heat! Even the humidity doesn't get me down. I miss basking in the sun for hours, but since I had a skin cancer removed last year, have regretfully had to forego it The house is cool downstairs & I have a big window fan in the bedroom, so sleeping is fine. Also, take 2 or 3 cold showers a day when it gets in the very high 90"s which it is today; 100 F predicted tomorrow. I'll take this anyday rather than January, when it's 36 degrees with a wind chill of 32, and snow, sleet & freezing rain predicted in the afternoon!!! Plus, takes 5 minutes to get dressed to go outside with all the layers!! |

I agree it is very hot, but winter is so long so I am trying to enjoy it. Feel sorry for Caleb though - he just pants & drinks, although not put him off his food! The cats seem okay too. This week, as it is the first week of the school hols I am giving the house its annual big clean! Took me all day just to do the lounge, hall and dining room, did the conservatory yesterday, kitchen & utility tomorrow.... |

Wow, Kim, you're really energetic to do all that in a heat wave! I get my shopping done earlier in the day when it's not too hot, then just veg out after lunch with the papers, crossword, books & CP! Can't work up much of a sweat that way |

Lol Eileen! What keeps me going is the thought that, after next week when I have to go into school for a few days, I have 5 weeks off! - well apart from my Friday nights nursing. I like to get the cleaning out of the way, but it is more of a struggle in this heat though. Hopefully, soon it will be my turn to relax enjoy crosswords, etc! |

I don't like the heat - it was showing at 28 C here and tomorrow they reckon it could get to 32 C. I work part time in a shop and I had to leave early because I just about passed out the manager wasn't pleased I left and also wouldn't let me phone my OH to come and get me. Theres no air conditioning at all - so I will probably get the sack cause I'm not going in tomorrow either roll on winter I love the cold and the snow - proper Scottish weather |

Maybe that's why thr heat doesn't bother me; it's notoriously hot and humid in Washington in the latter part of July & August...I was born here & grew up with it. Hope it cools down some for you all! |
