I forgot to mention another downside: being woken up early with 'kisses' etc. All my cats were trained not to dare to meow in the morning to wake me up. They have all cleverly found an alternative: present lady does it with kisses. Her father did it by 'playing' loudly and dramatically on the floor with my slippers or anything he could find. You give in, stagger downstairs, give them what they want (breakfast) and 5 minutes later they have gone back to bed for the rest of the morning and left you to start another long day - LOL! |

I can live with the fur, hairballs and litter tray cleaing; what really distresses me is having to starve them from midnight on when they go to the vet! Makes me feel so guilty.... |

I don't like cleaning litter trays either, but the worst part has to be when they brings in gifts or dead or alive mice, birds, etc. |

I cannt think of a single thing I hate about being a cat parent  I love my babies to bits, they are just perfect I have 4 litter trays for 2 cats and the Diva still poo's on the floor  So long as she doesnt have an upset tum, I can deal with it. |

Coming from a multi cat household only 2 owned me 10 years ago now owned by the current 37, 4 at the bridge and 2 on a mission without permission! Cat hair on your black clothes - never comes off! Feeding time at the zoo sorry the kitchen when all want fed at the one time and we have to feed some on worktops, some on kitchen table and others in the hall and family room and not forgetting the 2 feeding stations outside, sometimes wonder the dogs get fed at all! Large food bills Larger vets bills (all are id chipped, neutered, full boosters and Program every six months) thank god I found an understanding vet when we moved house took me 8 weeks to find one I liked and thought the kids might like! The ferals who even after 5 years hate me! But love daddy and the central heating and all the good stuff parents work to provide! Glad to say we hope to still foster, trap and will never turn them away! Strange but true wouldn't swap my animal filled home for a nice clean tidy one! |
