Unfortunately, no. The side of my house faces west and she can snuggle up against the brick wall of the house, mostly concealed from the sight of passersby behind the bushes and enjoy the warmth of the sun and feel safe. She looked shocked when I first spotted her...but she didn't run! Carolyn made a shelter for her in the crawl space of her house beneath the front porch, and told the new owners that the stray cat used it,,,far as I know it's still there. So, she has someplace to go when the weather is inclement. but I"d much prefer her to come in with me where it's always warm... |

No one has ever gotten close enough to tell ... lol...but she looks like a she, and if she isn't, well, I like boy cats too, and Onyx is a unisex name........and Leia got along fine with Dandy..... |

Leia doesn't go out; she, for some reason, is scared of outdoors! She was born in an apartment, then stayed strictly indoors with my friend Nora who kept her till she was old enough to be spayed. She runs when the porch door is opened; so I decided not to harness train her; if she's that scared I don't want to put her through it. She seems perfectly happy at being indoors only. So far, she hasn't seen Onyx, who, as far as I know, has never ventured into my front yard; and now it's too chilly to sit outside on the porch. Imagine it would be very unnerving if I could get Onyx to come in, but will worry about that later....right now, just want to get her confident enough to let me pet her. |

I am sure with lots of paitence she will get to that stage. Food and warmth are great ice breakers by next Spring she'll have her paws firmly under the table. |

I certainly hope so! Speaking of warmth, don't laugh, but I put her plate and tin of food on the radiator cover so they'll be warm when I feed her...much more appetising on a chilly day than a plate of cold cat food,,,and makes the gravy nice and runny also. I've always done that for my cats. |
