NEWSFLASH! (Arthur)

Do you know what else is annoying DM, the ones who were not actively looking for a cat but saw the article & thought they'd take him on, having spoken to them to tell them he's reserved, but there are plenty more Arthurs in the branch - we get told,no they don't want another cat.....only wanted that one.....

(because he's been in the paper

Next time you have a number of similar cats in, put out an appeal with a very blurry picture (because puss is shy

) and hey presto! - 6 callers can all have Arthur!

Do you know that did cross my mind, well a sililar thought did.
I thought that if it was for example a black cat & we had several black cats in.... they could all be that same one.... Does that makes sense? I think you know what I mean.

We'd have to hope they didn't all meet up at a CP coffee morning & get chatting.

"no, I adopted Arthur from the paper"
"What? Arthurs mine, we adopted him"
"Our cat Arthur was in the paper"

That's right.

Write a sob story about black cats and how they are always overlooked, post a blurry pic, chose a non-commital non gender-specific name and fit the callers to the most appropriate puss. As I said, they can all win a 'Lucky/Fortune/Destiny/Sooty/Whatever'.

Smudgley - we will never have to meet! All that devious-ness in one room would be dangerous!
