Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Been into town this morning, got a few more Christmassy things and also bought myself a new cake tin .......I've got three cakes to make this year!

It's wet and miserable at the moment, just managed to clear another sackful of leaves from the garden before it started to rain......

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Not done an awful lot today. Went into town this morning to pay some bills and had a mooch around Woolworths to see what offers they had on toys for the kids this year. Thomas wants a Robosapienthis year and they are selling for £50 in Woolies. Gonna have a chat to my inlaws as they've bought a giant unicorn for Louise which was about £40 so I was hoping they'd pay for Thomas' Robosapien.

Went to the butchers and they gave me a load of meaty bones for Tilly.

I've just finished the beef casserole for tea so gonna enjoy that

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Hi, all! Fran: hope you have heat now; Yola: very shocking news, understand why you're upset, quite a shock! Grey nasty day here, 40F with wind chill of 33F! Onyx was back in her usual spot and gobbled her turkey and barley in about 3 seconds, poor thing! I had warmed the plate and the tin, so at least she had something warm in her stomach! I held my hand out slowly to see if she'd sniff my fingers but she flinched and backed away...I wonder what happened to that little cat that she's so afraid...? Leia was on the porch for about three minutes and wanted back in...she dislikes cold weather & is on the radiator cover now "thawing out"! Have a nice evening!

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Coincidentally there was a lot of news about heart attacks and the need for early treatment, yesterday. Apparently British reserve is costing lives - we'd rather 'wait and see' than call an ambulance
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6153402.stm
I've been meaning to carry an aspirin in my purse .... but never got round to it. There's one there now. Everyone over 50 should always be within easy reach of an aspirin - if that pain grasps you round the chest, just eat it quickly.... and call the ambulance
