Re: Nesh Cats..

Glad to learn the meaning; I was scratching my head wondering what in the world you meant! Yes, they look like nesh cats, and now I have a new word for my radiator sleeper!! Thanks, Fran!

To be honest, I don't know very much Yorkshire slang. I went to quite a strict Convent School and had elocution lessons. We would have had our mouths washed out with soap and water should we ever have uttered a word of Yorkshire slang But over the years I must have picked up one or two things as I didn't even realise that 'Nesh' was a local expression

Re: Nesh Cats..

We use nesh - although it's pronounced more like naish. Means wimpy/soft/pathetic/wussy.

I think all cats love radiators. I remember when we went to collect Min - she and her 3 sisters and a couple of older cats were all on the back of a sofa backed up to a radiator. just a solid heap of warm meezers.
