Thanks Mags. We have alot of painting to do. I'll get stuck into the lower stuff. I have a bit of paper to hang, Derek doesnt get to do that as I'm too picky. I hate to see joins and he cant match a pattern to save his life. His moto is if it sticks it's up  .So far to date we have new curtains, blinds, sofa, carpet and loads of paint  . We should have the livingroom done by Monday. Then I think we will tackle the kitchen and leave the bedrooms till last. Its really exiting to "start again". Sorry if I'm babbeling.Oh forgot poor Derek was at the hospital this morning. He's got gout in his knee, elbow and toe. Not a decent body between us  Anyone know of a herbal remedy or help for gout? |

Jac - I hope your new life in your new home is everything you wish for. You deserve it  DM - I hope your Dad picks up soon . . . big hugs. Julie - hope the funeral wasn't too traumatic  All's fine here. Been rushing around like mad but yesterday and last night were a nightmare as Sebastian has/had a cold and just wouldn't settle. I had about 2 hours sleep. Canx the personal trainer as with that and the horrid sore throat I just couldn't face it. Luise is shaping up nicely. She's friendly, polite but not in your face with either. Dominik loves her and Sebastian; used to nobody but me for the last 4 3/4 months will just have to get used to her  Hopefully it will all work out well.Stir-fry for dinner tonight so better get on with it. Hubby's on his way home with the coconut milk so I'll get my butt in gear and start cooking!! |

Jac - wishing you every happiness in your new home and NO LIFTING!!! DM - so sorry to hear your dad is ill again, keeping you all in my thoughts Julie - Hope you're feeling ok after the funeral Yola - Hope you feel better soon and glad to hear things are going well with Luise so far Evening all. Been running about after Hayley today who was sent home from school with pains, she seems to have perked up somewhat now, so hopefully back to school tomorrow. Bitterly cold here, another bad frost tonight I fear. OH enjoyed his haggis for tea, yuck!! Nothing much else to report. Enjoy your evening. |

DM: sorry to hear the news of your Dad; Yola: glad the au pair is starting of OK, a plus that Domi likes her; Jac: best of luck in the new home, and yes, no lifting!!! Odd weather here: alternating bright sunshine and then passing snow flurries..it's 31F now, wind chill 23 ! Arctic air mass coming thru, tonight supposed to be 18F.. ... Did the big weekly marketing, just puttered around. Pleasant evening, all! |
