Much sympathy to all down with the awful bug going around! BM, Julie, fingers crossed for you! Cloudy & not as chilly today. 39F. To market , & potted the yellow amaryllis I'd ordered, also an offset from my big spider plant...I do lead such an exciting life... Onyx breakthru...she came right up to me at tea time while I was mashing the food on her plate with a fork...inches from my hands...and then let me pet her without flinching at all...not just a gingerly pat but three long rubs down her back!! I'm chuffed! Nice evening, all! |

I couldn't believe it! And...I petted her while she was eating!! My mom always warned me not to ever bother the cat when he was eating, but she was so busy gobbling her tin of beef and liver that she didn't object at all........ |

1. Tear a very hungry cat from her meal? I'd probably be on the way to the ER now if I tried ... 2. Leia, who doesn't much care for other cats and is displaying no further signs of cystitis, but stress is an inducer....that worries me; when and if I get Onyx really tamed, introducing her to Leia...but I don't want Onyx to spend the rest of her life outdoors, either....decisions, decisions......... |

What about putting an old blanket down beside Onyxz food dish on dry days Eileen and once she's eaten bringing it in so Leia can smell Onyx on it and Onyx can smell Leia. It might help the integration process when it eventuall takes place (I have faith in you) |
