Re: Daily thread - Sunday

She has handed herself into a police station, but no more news than that. Her mum is refusing to take her back this time, and wants a proper psychiatric assessment done of her, which she has been fighting to have done for 3 years, as her paternal grandmother suffers from schizophrenia and my niece shows the signs of it.

At least she is safe and well Alex...I hope that something satisfactory can be sorted out to stop her doing this again

Oh Fran, you have no idea how much we are all hoping for that!

Mags, her mum is at breakdown point now, this is the same person who's little baby was hospitalised last month and with this on top of it all is just too much for her!

Re: Daily thread - Sunday

Why do people have to be at desperation point before anything is done though? Wouldn't it be easier to provide help earlier?
My best wishes to them all.

Re: Daily thread - Sunday

Agree with DM, much simpler to sort it out beforehand; her poor mother! Mags: hope your back isn't as achy now; Fran: good to hear that you're feeling better! Everyone is so busy today with chores; I feel lazier than usual reading it...to the market, home to lunch, Sunday papers and NY Times crossword. May just stay in tomorrow; supposed to get down to 14F tonight and in the low 20s tomorrow; not get above freezing until Thursday! Onyx here for lunch looking well; will feed her again later. Have a nice evening, all!
