Daily Thread / Valentines Day

Afternoon all.

Glad to be back (again)
Second day of kitchen being fitted. We had to move back to Mum's last night because the place is upside down! Nothing new there, hehe.
I'm refusing to leave tonight and OH going along with me. Well he's at work so I can try and clean this place up. Make it look like a house and not a work site.
It's really cold as the front door has been open all day. Not to worry it will be worth it.

For the fisrt time in nearly 8 years I got a huge Valentines card and a pressie. OK I know he's a slow learner

Off out later for a romantic meal, trouble is they are not taking bookings, so its first come first served sort of thing

- could end up at the chip shop lol.

Well, I'm here, so no power failure! Storm not as bad as predicted: most of the snow went North of the City, and the freezing rain South; we got mostly sleet on top of snow. Out to shovel the walk and rescue the papers; had about 3 inches total, but it was heavy! I'm getting too long in the tooth for this!! Onyx didn't come for tea yesterday; hope she'll come at lunch. It's up to 33F now, so maybe some melting...? Happy Valentines Day, all!

Thank you all...I'm delighted that the storm wasn't as bad here in the City as predicted. Thousands of people further South are without power; I'm counting my blessings! Good to be back as usual on Catsey. I'm getting cabin fever being stuck in the house for a second day; street in front of my house has been plowed (bus route) so can get out tomorrow and boost the American economy by spending!!

Onyx didn't come at lunch; called her for about 5 minutes to no avail..

Hope she'll come this afternoon...Edited to say: she came at 3:15 this afternoon and had a warm meal amidst all the frozen sleet/snow!!!
