Alex, if you start the tubers off in compost in pots, you'll find that it will put up shoots from several areas and you can then divide the original tuber and get maybe 3 or 4 new plants from the old one. Bargain!

Years ago I grew those, when I had a greenhouse, my garden was a mass of colour, since then really I have no direction in my garden - hopeless I am!
