I was going to say worms, as that's what a vet told me many years ago; also I agree that the raw pork data may be outdated, but I wouldn't give it to my cats ever. Poor Sunny, hope he's feeling better now!

Maybe you could persuade Mom to get Sunny some raw chicken wings. They are really. really cheap - about 10p here, maybe 10 or 20cents each with you? - and most cats love them - bones and all! So, they get the fun of eating and the good effects of crunching up the bones and having them pass through their system.
