Re: Peacocks

I adore peacocks even though they are very noisy: would love to have one, but with a small City yard, and a 6 foot stockade fence, he'd be over it and away in a nanosecond! Cats do love the feathers, though: alway get some when I'm at a cat show!

Re: Peacocks

Shall I tell the people I can't take them, but would they consider letting me have one plucked. I could then send everyone here a feather.

Mags - maybe you could knit him a jumper as a comprimise.

Re: Peacocks

Smudgley could your friendnot approach the local Zoo or large public park or something similar to see if they would like to take them on?????

Just a thought as we have a couple of park places that have petting zoos and the such where they have peacocks wandering the grounds...

Re: Peacocks

Our Zoo here in Washington had them wandering free on the grounds for years...used to take my lunch down there when I was in college....few blocks away...one of the cocks displayed to me: astoundingly beautiful!
