I do not have a squirrel problem, so suppose its easy for me to think they are cute, but can quite understand your feelings about them DM, Nothing remains cute, when it becomes a pest!!!TBH, if they were vandalising my garden would probably think the same way as you! |

Oh Moli, I hope I didn't offend you! I may have come on a bit too strong in that post; I love most animals (well, not wild rats!) and would never hurt one,. My neighbor Carolyn had them chew through the board of her porch roof and make a nest inside...she hired a trapper to catch and transport them away, and within a week a new family was in her yard! Trapping doesn't work; you just have to live with them! (And vent occasionally on Catsey!! ) |

You did not offend me DM..Can understand how you feel, we used to have the same problem with rabbits, and people used to say they were cute..but when they literally ruined my garden, they were a pest,!! I resorted to letting myu dogs chase them, they soon got the message... |

I guess anything in excess can be a pest! We have wild rabbits in the woods two blocks from me, and I confess I think they're as cute as can be....but they don't come in my yard! Dogs would probably help, but unfortunately I'm one of those people who are afraid of dogs.... |
