She got £2 for her first tooth and a £1 for the others. She only got rewarded so much for this one because of the letter . She is quite bright (sometimes too much so) and she gave us a laugh.
She went away and wrote her letter with no input from us. I thought it was quite clever. Hence the reward.

When I was little it was a silver thrupney (sp)

It's not as bad as it sounds, Alex! This was the Depression days and everything was very cheap then! And yes it was long after the dinosaurs had died off!!
