Re: Daily thread Friday

See you later Jac, don't spend too much money at P@H

Emm, yes, the weather warnings are quite extensive. The problem in Yorkshire is we have so many rivers which run so very close to built up areas. Less than half a mile from us, people have had to evacuate their houses and their houses and belongings are ruined At Asda this morning they had buckets on the checkouts etc.. for you to contribute to the local flooding fund... That's twice they have been flooded now in less than a fortnight

Re: Daily thread Friday

Weird weather here, hot and sunny one minute, bucketing rain and rather cold the next!

Have been into town to get my nails done. Bought Luise a lovely red Marilyn Monroe-style dress from Monsoon as a going away present (she's off back to Germany tomorrow). She's going to wear it on the plane to surprise her b/f . . . cos she's lost 11KG whilst with us. And no, we haven't been starving her LOL!!

Off to Swindon in an hour for a new biz meeting, hoping it'll go well

Right - got to get some lunch on now . . .

Re: Daily thread Friday

Well the day started off sunny here, we had a heavy storm about an hour ago and now we are back to sunshine once more. I don't like the look of the weather for the South West on that link you posted Fran!

My daughter and her family are coming this afternoon so I will be cooking a nice roast for our meal later. Her children have the day off for Inset day as well...... I wish we had all these extra days off when we were at school!

Have a good day everyone and I hope the storms are not as bad as they forecast for the weekend......

Another rainy day in Kent - just had a storm, and looks like it might brighten up a bit now.

Re: Daily thread Friday

P@H visit went well. Got a litter tray, cat litter, some toys on sticks, a mouse that you pull it's tail and it runs across the floor , more food and a couple of dishes.
Glad I didn't get carries away . Oh and Ceilidh a kitten in a bag. She really needed it .

Weather here is weird to. One min its sunny next it's pouring.

Re: Daily thread Friday

I'm sorry the weather is so awful there! Here on the East coast it's unusually dry; the midwest is plagued with flooding like so many of you are having: what has happened to the climate?
We did finally have rain last night, much needed, and today is overcast, drizzly and 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.
Did my usual marketing run and am off to feed the furries and myself....think "no rain" and stay safe; enjoy the rest of the day...
