Re: My teeth hurt

I had a very light scale and polish the other day as I have just joined a new dentist in my area (taken me four years to find a local dentist that would take me). Luckily my teeth are fine still but he wanted to do a bit of a clean up.

Didnt do any numbing of the area and just went and did it! Think the cleaning is more painful than a filling would be!!!

He did tell me my teeth might be a bit sensitive after so can see where you are coming from.

Hope they settle down soon x

Re: My teeth hurt

Thanx Mabel. They hurt a little while vrushing them this morning but not as much as the previous days, I have just given myself a fat lip however but thats another story.

Fran, my dentist told me to get arm and hammer toothpaste with calcium. She told me not just to use it as a toothpaste but also to use it as a jell, I have to smear it along my teeth and gum line before I go to bed and leave it, easier said than done as I think I swallow most of it .
Now i dont know if its because my teeth are settling down again now or if its because I have been doing this that they feel better today. Just thought I'd mention it for those with sensitive teeth and gums like me.

I've had that intense clean done on numbed gums Elaine and I agree it is quite sore after but it does ease in a couple of days Try rinsing your mouth and gums with Corsodyl, it does help...
