I had a very light scale and polish the other day as I have just joined a new dentist in my area (taken me four years to find a local dentist that would take me). Luckily my teeth are fine still but he wanted to do a bit of a clean up. Didnt do any numbing of the area and just went and did it! Think the cleaning is more painful than a filling would be!!! He did tell me my teeth might be a bit sensitive after so can see where you are coming from. Hope they settle down soon x |

Thanx Mabel. They hurt a little while vrushing them this morning but not as much as the previous days, I have just given myself a fat lip however but thats another story.Fran, my dentist told me to get arm and hammer toothpaste with calcium. She told me not just to use it as a toothpaste but also to use it as a jell, I have to smear it along my teeth and gum line before I go to bed and leave it, easier said than done as I think I swallow most of it .Now i dont know if its because my teeth are settling down again now or if its because I have been doing this that they feel better today. Just thought I'd mention it for those with sensitive teeth and gums like me. |

I've had that intense clean done on numbed gums Elaine and I agree it is quite sore after but it does ease in a couple of days  Try rinsing your mouth and gums with Corsodyl, it does help... |
