Just bought this painting of a cat :)

Kel, it was a commission and the lady who commissioned it for her boyfriend split up with him, hence it falling through, cannot wait for it to arrive

That is a stuinnng painting the eyes are amazing "full of life" however I think the whiskers and the ears are what bring it to life. Where did you see it Emma?

I saw it on Wetcanvas, the art forum I go on, I noticed the Artist Ria mentioning that the commission had falled through and she was stuck with it, so I sent her a PM to see if she would sell it to me, we agreed a price and it is mine!!!! lol the eyes remind me very much of Bronwyn's

Ahh that's a shame, I had one commisioned of Maddy (one of my dogs) and he said he had a few people who'd lost interest after the work had been done, I felt it such a shame that he had to try and find other people to buy them after spending so much time a piece for someone.

I love Maddy's one, i've never had a painting done before and i'd taken such a nice pic of her one time which I was absolutely in love with, so I thought i'd get a painting from it. I'm going to get all the dogs done then try and get a nice big group one of the cats as there are far to many of them to be paying for one each.

It is a shame isn't it Kel, especially when it is such a lovely painting, I will treasure it though as if it was a painting of one of my cats

Good to hear that you had a nice painting of your dog, you should post a photo of it. Always love to see other artists work.

That is really a gorgeous oil, Emma, but I honestly don't think it's that much better than your stunning drawings. How are you coming along with them?

Well just found out from the artist that the cat is a she and called Pluk
