Re: Daily Thread / Saturday

Sunny and cooler today; a wee chance of much needed rain by late Sunday evening: please send rain vibes!! It is so parched! Did my usual library run and got some vermouth, running low on it; am about to feed the girls and have lunch. Nothing scheduled but papers, crossword and water the garden!! Enjoy the rest of the day, all!

DM - I'll swap you a barrel of water for a barrel of sunshine any day. We have one of those constant, cloying, thick thick drizzle days, where you wonder if you will ever see the sun again.

Re: Daily Thread / Saturday

You have far too much rain and we are desperate for some! Life is not fair....and it is so depressing that the days are growing shorter now! I don't know what latitude you're in, but the sun set here last night at 7:59 pm!!! No more sitting on the porch after dinner ... and since I'm whingeing, my tomatoes seem to have the blight!!

Re: Daily Thread / Saturday

That's an early sunset!
We'll be getting dark about 8.30 tonight, the weather being so bad, but on a good day there would be light until nearly 9.

Wow, you're not in the Land of the Midnight Sun, but you've got a lot more evening light than we do! Enjoy, it's all downhill now until the winter Solstice..

If this works it's a sunrise/sunset table - for Stonehenge, which isn't far from me

Wow, I did not realize how much later the sun sets in your latitude! I dug out my almanac and here are a few comparable times for sunset here:
April 1 6:32
May 1 8:00
June 1 8:27
July 1 8:37
Aug 1 8:18
Sep 1 7:37

Too dark too soon! Thanks for the table, that was informative!
