Very hot here today like being abroad, sorry!!

I hate the winter, it's too cold, wet, people are miserable, noone goes out and I eat too much

The day started off cloudy & grey, but this afternoon was quite hot! Took the dogs out for an hour and they were hot & tired.

Mostly. We don't get a lot of snow, but when we do get it, everything falls apart...we are famous for not coping well with snow...everyone panics, schools, offices and the government shut down early with consequent horrific traffic jams and mobbed subways, the store shelves are swept clear of bread, milk and, of all things, toilet paper! I've lived here all my life and it's always like this...we are a laughing stock!! And on the rare occasion we get a really bad snow...10 - 12"...the City is shut down for two or more days! I've learned to keep a good supply of things on hand in case the buses aren't running and I can't get to the market! The old joke is: Washington is a city with Southern efficiency and Northern charm ...
No doubt I'll be whingeing come December/January about it....thanks for asking!!
