Re: Daily thread - Saturday - Pinch, punch, first of the month

Frantic preparations for Dominik's fire engine party tomorrow. Got my nails done and just had a mammoth screaming session with Sebastian (him not me)! I still think something's not right - he was really beside himself for almost an hour. I think I will return him to the docs for another chat as I'm sure it's not right to be like that

My poor Mum's still at my Aunts. Back for 1 night's sleep in her own bed then back to Greenford . . . my Aunt has decided to sell up and move to Devon, to a home for elderly Poles . . . which is actually a relief as she's not really able to look after herself.

Fresh trout for dinner tonight, which I hope to enjoy once my headache subsides!

Poor Sebastian. No, I don't think a year old should scream for ages (he is about the one-year mark now isn't he Yola?). No indication of a pain anywhere? Or a temperature? Poor little thing - and poor you. It must have been very stressful. Hope a good sleep tonight sorts you both out.

Re: Daily thread - Saturday - Pinch, punch, first of the month

Been to work and back home for a stress free evening! Gonna watch a film and have a few drinks with a friend.

Yola - not been aware of problems with Sebastian before - must of missed a few posts. But I had constant screaming with Sean when he was about 6 months to about a year, until the doctor discovered an allergy to milk....

It is most distressing and I do sympathise with you although my memories of those long nights of screaming are a bit fuzzy now!!

Has he any other symptoms - like more than average sickness or diarreah? Just an idea - ignore my ramblings if it is totally off the track.

Yola Does Sebastion scream at any particular times, following anything such as changes in routine, noises, mealtimes, strangers, colours, smells?
I wonder if he has an allergy or sensitive hearing or something as such. Has he had injections recently?
I wonder also if Donna has a point in whether he is lactose intolerant.

Re: Daily thread - Saturday - Pinch, punch, first of the month

He's not lactose intollerant, but is unable to digest milk protein. He has a special formula milk and gaviscon infant for his vommiting. This was diagnosed just after Christmas last year. I have tried him with the occasional fromage frais and his vommiting does increase after that so I suspect the intollerance is still there.

I suspect that it's his teeth - he's is 3 days short of a year old and only has 6 teeth - and each one has cause him a lot of pain.

Calpol worked for a while but he's yelling frantically again so I will wrap up now and get him off for an early night to (hopefully) sleep it off.
