Emm - that's just awful Surely you and OH could go out on your own without MIL? It's not right that you should both be put down like that, especially on what's meant to be a birthday celebration. Hugs.

Re: Daily Thread - Sunday

Well, the Christmas fair wasn't bad and we managed to get some lovely bits and pieces for people who are normally tricky to buy for. My daughter bought a lovely rose quartz stretchy bracelet for her OH's niece and I got some things that will survive in the post to SILs and family.

The food hall was a bit of a disappointment, lots of sauces and dips but the pickle stall and the cheese stall weren't there this year. Still, on the whole it was worth going and I'm starting to feel Christmassy now!

Re: Daily Thread - Sunday

Afternoon, all. Sun is trying to come out and it's not as chilly as yesterday...7 now right before lunch. But a cold all day rain is coming tomorrow, so plan to stay indoors and veg out. Did a double market stockup this morning. Nothing is new here' Leia hasn't caught any more mice; maybe, hopefully, she's gotten them all...

MrsH: shame the pickle and cheese stands weren't there, but sounds like a fun outing anyway!
Emm: sorry about the presumably quite unpleasant day; hope it won't be as bad as you expect...(((hugs)))

Enjoy the rest of the day all, pj's or not..

I can't its family tradition they've been doing it before I came onto the scene - it wasn't that bad last night - OHs nieces were there so it was a good distraction. I had made up my mind and told the OH any offensive remarks and I am just getting up and walking out - it didn't come to that thank goodness!
