Morning (just!) everyone! We had a very hard frost last night and the garden glistened with it this morning. We have clear blue sky and lovely sunshine........ I don't mind the cold when it's like that,,,  Have been to the hairdressers this morning and had myself look presentable for my day out in Cardiff tomorrow. Really looking forward to their decorations as the ones in Bristol are rubbish this year..  Hope the sun is shining on you all! |

Good afternoon all. We had been expecting a frost last night but cloud cover stopped that luckily. Amazing blue sky now and the temperature feels like it is dropping quickly, so may see the frost tomorrow. Ma in law (who has early dementia) has the hump today, which means OH also has the hump and has gone off to the bottle bank - well, that's a step in the right direction - I mean it's something off the "to do" list! Done a big Tesco online order - took ages deciding which sort of cranberry sauce looks nicest! (Sorry, don't make my own). OH muttered something about we should make our own mince (fruity sort) for mince pies. (Sorry, don't do that either!) If I had a Christmas wish - WOULD I wish to become a goddess a la Nigella, or would I just wish to have James Martin living in my kitchen???? Now, which should I choose .........................  |

Afternoon, all! It was supposed to turn warmer today, but cloudy with a raw East wind that goes right thru you waiting for the bus! Did my banking and marketing; and finally did my local Christmas cards last night. Getting the personalized ones with Leia on them sort of jump-started me..  Wrapping presents is next on the list, with a lot of help from you-know-who! Don't all cat peoples presents have little claw pinholes in the wrapping paper..? Jac: weird how things can vanish in a black hole sometimes! I am missing a teaball that just disappeared from the sink where it was draining...never been seen since; had to buy a new one.. But a pillow is really strange...Tink: hope you arrive safely, and can be seen! Good luck! And bless that nurse kitty! Safe driving all, and have a good day! |

Hello all! Angieh - I'd take James Martin if I were you! can't stand Nigella, she makes me feel very inadequate,and I hate her gushing way of talking. (OH would probably opt for her rather than James though!) We've discovered that the mice that our two are catching are definitely from our garage, OH was moving something in there today and found where they've been hiding. We've had regular mice bodies presented recently so maybe they're all accounted for, but we've baited some traps in the garage in any case - will see what happens. Hope the rest of today goes well for everyone. |

I'm going out shortly. Darryle has got another bearded dragon so I have to pick him up with it. Brilliant eh? Sometimes I wish I didn't drive  .MY tree is up!!!!!!! So you can stop nagging Alex |
